Dear GlobalWE Expo Participants and Registrants,

We are writing to let you know that consistent with Harvard University policies concerning the COVID-19 outbreak, we will not be holding the GlobalWE Women's Empowerment Expo on April 30, 2020.

We wanted to share this information with you in a timely manner as we explore alternative dates and formats.

Please stay tuned for updates moving forward as the situation evolves.  It is our intention to reschedule the Expo when conditions permit, and we will very much look forward to your participation.

Thank you for your work for the empowerment of women and girls and for your support of GlobalWE.

Now in its fourth year, the Women's Empowerment Expo provides a forum for organizations leading the way globally for women's empowerment to connect with Harvard University alumni and students (from the College and graduate schools), as well as Harvard professors, staff and other members of the Harvard University community who seek internship, volunteer, mentorship, career exploration and charitable giving opportunities. Participating organizations span a variety of fields, including but not limited to the arts, social services, education, health, economic development, entrepreneurship, policy and STEM. To see a list of past participating organizations, please see our 2018 Expo organization list. The event is hosted by Harvard GlobalWE in collaboration with Phillips Brooks House Assoication (PBHA) and Harvard’s Center for Public Interest Careers (CPIC).

History

The Women’s Empowerment Expo was founded by Harvard GlobalWE in 2016, in honor of Harvard’s first Women’s Weekend, and brought together 30+ organizations and 150+ alumnae on the HBS campus. The event is led by Harvard GlobalWE, and has been co-sponsored in years past by the Harvard Alumni Association (HAA), Harvard’s Center for Public Interest Careers (CPIC), Harvard’s Office of Career Services (OCS), and the Harvard Business School’s Women Students Association.
